Strip Club 2020 - Jan 11, 2020 10:00 am
2020 brings us a NEW YEAR, with ideas, new projects and a new spin on STRIP CLUB! Get fun--funky--and have a blast! Patterns for 2020 have already been selected. Here are some hints...a massive star, braids, chaos and just comfortable and casual. I can tell you we will not be doing a patriotic quilt in 2020. I will be focusing more on color theory and the color wheel. We will be diving in to a little more exploration of hues, tones, contrasts and compliments. The beauty of this is that the strips are going to be mystery to us all and that means me. There will be will multiple different colorways of strip sets. They will be placed into sacks and put in to a basket, each person will reach in a draw a bag. We will all have the same pattern, however, we will not have the same strips. I believe this will take our creativity and inspiration to new heights. What happens if you don't like your strips? Do you really not like it or can you be creative enough challenge yourself to select background and borders so that you will be surprised? Is someone in the group willing to switch with you? All good questions. Remember, I will be selecting the best possible strips I believe will work with that pattern. I have no intention of giving you something that would not quilt out beautifully. A pattern is a suggestion, a guideline. You can change, tweak and make that pattern your own. Now most importantly, deadlines. I have to have a cut off time of 20 days prior to place the order so that means I will have to ask that everyone who wants to participate signs up in advance.
